Personal profile

Presentation

I’m a senior researcher and head of research group at the Center for Applied Research in Textiles, Design and Circularity at VIA University College. I received my PhD from Copenhagen Business School, and did post doctoral work at Aarhus University and Aalborg University before joining VIA. My research interests lie within the broader field of new practice creation from which I study the becoming of practices: how practices manifest, endure, and fade. I’m particularly interested in (a) how technology shapes work life interactions and (b) the uptake of sustainability practices. Currently, my emperical focus is on the Cultural and Creative Sector and Industries (CCSI), and specifically on how craft and living heritage may combine with new emerging digital technologies to drive the sustainable climate transition in fashion and clothing industries. I’m primarily anchored in qualitative research methods with an ethnographic orientation. Theoretically, my work draws on organization theory, sociology of work, and information and technology studies.
