Personal profile

Research and development areas

Since 2002, I have been researching violence within ethnic minority families and the associated social work. My research is grounded in ethnographic fieldwork within these families and communities, as well as interviews with vulnerable citizens and social work professionals. I have disseminated my findings through scientific and popular publications, and through teaching, lectures, and presentations to professionals. Since 2017, I have organized and taught a diploma module on honor-related social control within the social work diploma program. I have a particular interest in the perspectives of vulnerable children and young people, and in recent years, I have conducted research on children in care.
