Personal profile

Research and development areas

I conduct research at the intersection between digitalization, social work, and socially vulnerable groups. I am responsible for our institute’s initiative on research concerning the digitalization of the social sector (Research Portal).

Currently, I am leading a small research project in a Danish job center that examines the implementation of digital job center solutions and the impact of these technologies on social workers and service users.

Additionally, I am conducting extensive fieldwork and participant observation in a larger NGO in the Copenhagen area, aiming to uncover how civil society supports digitally vulnerable citizens in navigating the (digital) welfare state.

I am also the coordinating a project that systematically reviews literature and legal regulations concerning digital marginalization of vulnerable citizens.

Finally, I work with the application of AI in education and research, e.g. using AI in qualitative analyses in the social sector and for dissemination research to social work students.

From 2019-2024 I have been involved in Project Reconnect (kp-reconnect.dk) and particularly concerned with investigating the organizational aspects and the implementation of a modified IPS intervention in three Danish municipalities.
