Recognising Nature - Climate Change and the Dialectics of Consciousness

    Project Details

    Description

Global climate change is increasingly becoming a problem. In order to address this problem various contributors to the public discourse about environmental issues have suggested conferring legal rights upon nature. This project examines this solution from a philosophical standpoint by shedding light on the conditions for human consciousness about nature through the perspective of Hegel's philosophy of nature and his theory of recognition.
