The significance of the use and implementation of the medication dispensing robot MediMiSmart for citizens and home nurses in Aalborg Municipality.

The project aims to explore the significance of the use and implementation of the medication dispensing robot MedimiSmart for home nurses and citizens in Aalborg Municipality. The project will provide an in-depth description of both how home nurses experience the implementation and use of the medication dispensing robot, and the impact it has on citizens.

The project consists of 2 substudies:
1) Qualitative fokus groups with home nurses
2) Qualitative individual semi-structured interviews with citizens

This research will provide new knowledge on the impact of the use of MedimiSmart for citizens in their own homes in Aalborg Municipality. Furthermore, it will provide insight into the opportunities and barriers that citizens experience in connection with the use of the medication dispensing robot and how it affects their daily lives. This knowledge can be used to target implementation of the medication dispensing robot to the relevant citizens, hence saving time and ressources. Additionally, home nurses' experiences with the implementation and use of the medication dispensing robot will contribute knowledge on how future welfare technologies can be implemented in practice.
