The establishment of Child Advocacy Centres in Denmark

Project Details

Description

In Denmark, cases where it is suspected that a child has been abused have to be treated at one of five children’s houses in Denmark. However, the social worker in the municipality where the child lives has the overall responsibility for the child’s case before, during and after the examination in the children’s house.
The research project is related to the role of the social worker who is responsible for the child’s case and intends to analyze how the interaction is between the social worker responsible for the case and the children’s house and how the establishment of this highly specialized children’s house helps the social worker.
