Co-Designing Excellence: Enhancing the ‘Fundamentals of Care Framework’ Tutorial 2.0 on Microsoft Teams

Project Details

Description

If we integrate the Fundamentals of Care Framework into our e-learning tools for nursing education, then we can enhance nursing students’ critical thinking skills, establish a shared language on nursing care across health-care settings and emphasize person-centered care (Feo et al., 2017; Feo et al., 2018; Voldbjerg et al., 2018; Voldbjerg et al., 2020; Grønkjær et al., 2022)
This integration may also address student evaluations indicating unfamiliarity with the already existing e-learning tools and align with evidence highlighting that newly graduated nurses experience a lack of competency, emotional distress and need for support to provide competent and safe direct patient care (Sygeplejerskeuddannelsen, UCN, 2021; Kaldal et al., 2022).
In the “Hvidbog for RPL”, the six fundamental principles of teaching that promote Reflective Practice Learning are described. By aligning teaching and supportive resources on these principles, it can help make the learning process meaningful and closely connected to the phenomena from practice that we focus on in the Fundamentals of Care Framework. Additionally, we collaborate on the learning process and incorporate the students’ own experiences and insights into the project, according to fundamental principles 1 and 5.”
