Description

The project promotes 3 basic factors to consider in journalism education today: The convergence of media; the relationship between universities and media outlets and professional simulation.

The main goals of the research project are to:

develop methods for the convergence of media
create a Journalism Student Network of Correspondents
provide proposals for a true simulation training in college
propose different integrated journalism models for different universities and companies
achieve greater business involvement at college level
develop a pedagogical methodology that enhances new skills for journalists
develop educational materials to promote the integrated newsroom model
maintain and promote a network between European universities.

The project is divided into 7 work packages:

Management
Create a European database of journalism
Establish conceptual framework and methodology
Establish pedagogical framework and teaching material
Develop online platform (young foreign reporters)
Pilot test: Teaching labs
Quality check, dissemination, exploitation

The project is a joint interdisciplinary effort of a consortium of 5 partners:
