Project Details

Description

In collaboration with its White Hole Theater consortium of partners – Viborg Kommune, Late Love Production, Aalborg University, CreativeFlow, Midtjysk 3D Service, Plastic Art Collective – The Animation Workshop (TAW) / VIA University College intends to secure financing from the Creative Europe programme – Culture Strand of the EU (see Annex 1 at the end of this document) for the development and running of a European consortium of partners, with which White Hole Theater will share knowledge and knowhow, and collaborate towards making the 2024 and 2025 3 Kings and Valdemar 2 theatre performances real-time multi-country/stage performances, where 4 theatres will perform together in a common meta-stage, while also streaming these performances to partner museums. Indeed, the goal will be to have actors performing the same play together, in real time, from 4 different stages in 4 different EU countries, and for the entire performance to be joined together in a digital meta-stage. The work plan to put together this application to Creative Europe will include building the partnerships with European theatres and museums, consolidating the already formed research and dissemination partnership with Aalborg University, researching and demonstrating the relevance and need for such a project connecting theatre performances with animation with VR and with museum experiences, creating the budget for the entire project and the partners, securing matching funding for the project and ultimately writing and submitting the project application to Creative Europe.
