Abstract

This working paper relates directly to the conference theme because it seeks to understand the context of entrepreneurship education, how it has been legitimised by academia and in policy discourses and the implications of this for entrepreneurship education practice. By addressing the issue of legitimacy the study seeks to explore different stakeholder views on the nature and purpose of EE with a view to assist in ‘building a bridge’ between EE’s different constituents, simultaneously addressing issues of who benefits from EE and how and for whom value is created.
