Abstract
Introduction: When a person has dementia, participation and inclusion in everyday activities, such as meal preparation, are challenged. This may lead to activity deprivation. Objectives: The aim of the project is to develop a guide for relatives and caregivers, to increase the possibility for the person with dementia to continue everyday life through participating in meal preparation. Results/Conclusion: Through this process, we realized that we were not able to make a “one size fits all” glittering cookbook. Consequently we developed a guide that enables the caregiver to create a customized cookbook. The guide gives examples of tailor made recipes as an inspiration for the care-giver. The activity analysis together with life story work were applied to develop the guide.
