    Abstract

    Introduction:Since fall, 2015 Metropolitan University College has provided interprofessional courses to develop students’ competencies to meet society’s future challenges. There is a need to optimize the quality of collaboration and the interprofessional problem solving in the Welfare State.It is a 10-week fulltime study (15 ECTS), 12 study programs participate with 1.000-1.200 students per semester and 150 lecturers are involved.The Interprofessional course contents:12 themes, targeting different study programs with common learning objectives. The students work with practice and in interprofessional study groups closely supervised. The students’ work with a mandatory group contract and end the course with a group exam based on a student-composed video.Methods: The poster will present the students and lectures quantitative and qualitative evaluations upon completion of the course.Discussion: Which learning activities can contribute to the students’ training and practicing collaboration with other professionals?Results:The students evaluated the outcome of the course as follows: excellent (20%), very good (37%) or good (29%). The lectures evaluated how competent they felt with the course: excellent (45%), very good (35%) and good (18%), which is an increase. Conclusion: To meet the challenges, Metropolitan University College is now developing and implementing new learning activities: An educational game, forum theatre, tools for reflection, collaboration with NGO’s, use of WIKI’s and simulation with NGO’s.
