Geography teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge and internal didactic transposition of the topic weather formation and climate change

Abstract

This paper represents a part of a PhD project and willput emphasis on eight lower secondary Geography teachers, andhow their Pedagogical Content Knowledge might influence theirinternal didactical transposition of the topic of weather formationand climate change. There are conducted semi-structured interviewwith the teachers. An analysis of the results implicates that there isa connection between the teachers’ topic specific Pedagogical ContentKnowledge, especially their subject matter knowledge, theireducational profile, and how the internal didactic transposition iscarried out.
