Abstract
Grief research has only to a lesser extent investigated the role of the bodily experience of grief in the grieving process. This article aims to uncover how the bodily expression of grief is part of the bereaved grieving process in a lifelong perspective. Through qualitative analysis of three interviews and an experience description the following three themes are defined: grief is stored in the body; redemption of grief; and meaningful grief. Based on these perspectives, the article advocates for at body-oriented approach to the bereaved.
