Abstract
SMEs risk being left behind, as the fourth industrial revolution progresses. Waiting until Industry 4.0 is a commodity offered by larger manufacturing and technology companies, means SMEs could miss the opportunity to have their specific needs and concerns met. Learning factories can help SMEs lessen the gap, providing a way to experiment with and learn of Industry 4.0.
