Reach Out 2019-20 - Research Report: A study of art-based transnational teaching and its implication for student learning and development

Abstract

Asking, observating and interviewing about 160 7th grade students from Denmark, Lithuenia and Poland about their outcome from art-based workshops at school conducted by professional artists, the research conclude this: They experienced significant development regarding oral English and art-related competencies, and there was a clear potential for personal development, inculsion in class, motivation for school and for democratic formation. However, there was no clear development in students' knowledge about other countries.
