Abstract

Asking, observating and interviewing about 160 7th grade students from Denmark, Lithuenia and Poland about their outcome from art-based workshops at school conducted by professional artists, the research conclude this: They experienced significant development regarding oral English and art-related competencies, and there was a clear potential for personal development, inculsion in class, motivation for school and for democratic formation. However, there was no clear development in students' knowledge about other countries.
