Abstract

Persons suffering from the impostor phenomenon often fail to thrive and
might be in danger of dropping out of studies. The impostor-phenomenon
relates to people who are both skillful and capable, but sees themselves
as frauds and as someone who is not worthy of good grades, appraisal
for their work or promotions. Across a wide range of different educations
and professions, as well as faculty, the impostor-phenomenon is a
reality.
