Abstract
Research has identified challenges in clinicians’ use of the Early Warning Score (EWS). Involvement of stakeholders in developing and implementing new policies to support the use of the early warning score, is essential. In this study, we used Participatory Design methodology by Robertson and Simonsen and Muller and Druin to explore the visions and ideas on initiatives of nurses and physicians on the effective use of the early warning score (EWS) in a hospital setting. Two workshops, structured after User Innovation Management, were conducted.
